During the pandemic when we were all buying trollies full of hand wash and sanitiser, we noticed the aisles and aisles of plastic. Then we looked into it more.
8 million tonnes of plastic waste enters the ocean from personal care products every year! But it isn't just plastic that is the problem - there's also a lot of harmful chemicals and ingredients in so many of our toiletries, 120 billion units of packaging wasted every year and the just how expensive sustainable products are. It doesn't need to be this way.
Personal care is ready for change. It needs change. Dominated by a sea of plastic that's destroying our ocean and planet. When we learned that the personal care category contributes 20-40% of global plastic waste, we decided to choose Reefyll over landfill. We decided to make a difference.

We're not only removing single use plastic from personal care and making refill & reuse the norm. We're making it more carbon efficient.
Did you know that most personal care products are made of up to 95% water? By packing the other ingredients into our powerful tablets and removing all single use plastics from our packaging, Reefyll has a carbon footprint over 90% lower than competitive brands. This is due to less plastic and less transport; one lorry of Reefyll is equivalent to twelve of leading brands to be exact.
Clean Ingredients, Clean Conscience.
All of our ingredients are from natural sources and are vegan friendly. You certainly won't find any harmful chemicals, parabens or sulphates.
A lot of brands don't really want you to know what's in their products, hiding the ingredients on their packaging. We're changing this. We're proud of what goes into our formulas and want everyone to know!

Simple & Affordable
When we first started shopping for toiletries and personal care products, we found many of them intimidating with words and language we didn't understand. Then when we began shopping more sustainably, we found many of the options were really expensive.
Because of this, it was really important for Reefyll to be simple to understand, approachable and affordable.

We're Ant & Sam Haase, a father & Son business who are trying to make a difference.
Our business started in 1999, and has grown and changed to get us where we are now. We've got this far by only offering products we would use ourselves, affordable, sustainable and nice to use.
